Wheels and tyres

Anyone want some cruddy Spitfire wheels, some with tyres, some without (can't say I;d trust the tyres on there although one is brand new. Also some loose tyres of varying tread depth, all just about legal. A few beer tokens secures them, collection only - photo when I can be bothered :-)

Oh sorry I meant to say "Excellent wheels andtyres for your Spit, wheels have a few rust spots. Tyres are run in and have optimum tread depth for suberb performance. A range of tyres are available to suit all your needs." :-)
They are serviceable and free what more can I say? I just didn't want them to go in the bin. Shall I post them to you mate??

Over the years I've collected loads of info and books about the PI system, some better than others. I have always meant to scan and post up some of the more interesting stuff. Worried about your trunnions? Relief is to hand!

This is an bit of an infomercial for my mate Dave and his company Canley Classics. I know Dave well, I get most of my Triumph stuff from him. I sometimes work on the Canley Classics stand at shows, I own a Canley Classics T shirt and I have spent many hours driving Triumphs with him. Other Triumph parts suppliers are available, your mileage may vary and this may contain nuts. If you don't like what I say, ignore it :-) - It's a well know fact that the small chassis Triumphs have some design frailties. One of the more spectacular failures you can suffer stems from the front trunnions. When you get a failure here you can loose a front wheel - this isn't a good thing. Metering unit fitted

  Remembering to fit the banjo bolted injector lines first (you can't get at them once the metering unit is fitted) we fitted the metering unit. I'd I'd timed the car to TDC, this makes timing the metering unit easier and you do need all teh help you can get here as it's a bitch. The metering unit and dizzy sit on an extended pedestal that means you need an extended drive inside. The whole things sits very high. It's OK but I am now looking for a side entry dizzy cap, Standard Vanguard I think - anyone got one? The metering units I had represented a good spread of what's out there. You can't really tell what you've got until you whip the top off. Dave opted for the earlier one of the three I brought up - this too came off my original project Vitesse and it must have had a MkI system on it as this was a blue spring unit.
