Amazing!`

We pick up the Saab next week - needs an MOT and some odds and sods including a very boy racer carbon fibre dash! In the meantime I've been investigating retro fitting heated seats, apparently all the wiring is there you just need the switches and the heating elements and several hours to fit them! So, I was on eBay looking for the parts when in my search I turn up a pair of switches in the US, $22 delivered to the UK. As the Saab new price is over £40 each I bought them, well here's the amazing thing, they arrived today! The guy posted them on Christmas eve and they arrived in this morning's post - I am impressed. Now all I need are the 4 heating elements for the seats oh, and the car :-) Apparently there was an option on the 9-3 to have heater rear seats too although the dealer we bought the car from said he'd only ever seen one UK 9-3 with them fitted - might be an interesting project! I'm not abandoning Triumphs by the way, I still have the Vitesse - I think I&#

I've done a bad thing

I'm not very good at Christmas shopping, this morning I realised I had bought nothing for my wife. So today I took her out and bought a Saab 9-3 Aero Convertible. With me doing a bit more travelling she needed a more practical car with 4 seats and, well the Sixfire isn't it - it's done us proud for a few years, sailing through every MOT without anything needed and still looks as good today as it ever did. I had tried to talk her into a Stag but she wasn't really having any of it. So, as we both like Saabs I had been looking for something suitable and this one came along. Black, one owner, full Saab history, Hi Output Turbo, seriously good leather interior, etc, etc - well over my budget and I am reliant upon the next bonus to pay for it but what the hell, you only live once! So, what does that mean for the Triumphs, well it means that a very pretty 6 cylinder Spitfire needs a new owner, yes the Sixfire is for sale. I'll do the blurb and put some photos togethe

Err -   - RBRR weirdness

For some reason when my Blog plages display on the Club Triumpg site the RBRR entry list is peppered with "&nbsp" yet on my blog pages it isn't! It's got to be something to do with the formatting but I can't work it out. If you want a clean looking list go direct to my blog at http://chinn.blogspot.com rather than through the CT pages A few stats for you on the RBRR entry - We received 100 entries in the first 9 days 75 entries were received in the first 3 days We are now into a reserve list, we will try and make more places available but there is a physical limit at the venues we use and really there's not a lot we can do about that. There will be consolidation entries and the odd drop out but I have no control over that - it happens but not with any predictability! If you wanted to enter but now can't, please consider getting involved as a marshall, we really do value that help and support. If your entry arrives in the next few days then I will put
